PSWD is a comprehensive strong password generator for Mac, iPhone and iPad.

PSWD works completely locally on your device. It does not collect, store or transmit anything - not the settings you enter, not the passwords it generates. It is a sandboxed app that takes your privacy seriously.

Version History PSWD 6.0 adds support for iPhone Duo and gives you more control over how passphrases are built.

• Use dictionaries in order: word 1 comes from the first dictionary, word 2 from the second, and so on, for patterns like Adjective.Noun.Verb. Rearrange them in the new Order card
• Separate words with a random symbol from a set you choose
• Import custom word lists of any size, and build passphrases of just one word; the strength meter shows what each choice is worth, with a new Very Weak level
• Custom words that contain the separator (like curious.otter with a "." separator) now work
• Shortcuts: clearer error messages, and PSWD can now be run from Siri and Spotlight

The dictionary you pick is saved with each preset, so different passwords can draw from different languages. 5.2 Jul 31 PSWD 5.1 adds a dice mode for games, new generation rules, and accessibility options.

• New Dice mode: toss one to ten dice with 2 to 100 sides, flip coins, or show the traditional dot faces
• New rules for the character modes: avoid symbols at the ends of the password, and avoid repeated characters
• New accessibility settings: show all passwords at the same size, and adjust the password text size
• The Copy button now copies every generated password, not just the first
• Mac: hover over one password of a set to copy just that one; numeric fields respond to the arrow keys
• Mac: the settings spread across two, three or four columns as you resize the window
• iPhone and iPad: haptic feedback on Copy and Generate, and an optional shake to generate — dice included
• The Length card shows the effective character count while separators are on

Plus smaller fixes: window focus from the menu bar panel, more reliable Copy and Generate buttons on iOS, and preset names no longer carry between password and dice configurations. 5.1 Jul 16 PSWD 5.0 is a complete rewrite. Everything is new, but all your settings are preserved: your password presets, iCloud sync, and Shortcuts keep working exactly as before.
